Truck Driver's Wife Reported Him Missing After Truck Was Discovered Abandoned
David Schultz, a 53-year-old truck driver from Wall Lake, Iowa, has been found dead, according to authorities. Schultz was first reported missing by his wife on November 21st. His truck was discovered abandoned on a rural highway near Sac City in northwest Iowa.
Inside the truck, authorities found Schultz's phone. The pigs that Schultz was transporting were still in the trailer.
Schultz was last seen at a gas station in Sac City on the afternoon of November 21st. His truck was found later that afternoon less than 10 miles (62 km) northeast of his destination.
The cause of Schultz's death is still under investigation. Authorities say there were no signs of foul play.
